Travel and Leisure magazine has rated Albania as the global top up and coming destination, and rightly so!
Having been in hiding for so long during the Communist era, Albania continues to be an unexplored wealth of beautiful mountainous peaks and rivieras. But internal work over the last two decades has led to an improved infrastructure of the country. This makes it a magical place that has so much to offer to its visitors whilst continuing to be unspoiled by mass tourism.
It also means a correspondingly low cost of living – a three course meal for two with a bottle of wine costs about £14 on average, and pint only £1. Accommodation can be found for a third of the price compared to more popular European countries, and holiday villas and 5-star hotels are on the rise.
